My personal journey with a psychic was a different kind of trip.

First off, like any important meeting with someone or relationship, you must first establish a connection or bond with the other person.  How do you do this?  Well, you might start by getting a referral from a friend who has had a reading before and asking them about their experience.  Did they find the reading helpful, insightful, thought provoking, etc…?  Remember, that any clairvoyant psychic readings your friends may have gotten don’t necessarily translate to your situation, but the reference is still worthwhile.  At least you know the person can help you have a dialogue about your innermost questions.

Well, let me take a step back for a moment.  Before getting any phone psychics to call from your friend, you’ll want to be clear as to your intentions with the call.  What do you want to accomplish or have answered with your reading?  This is an important place to start.  Your intention will plant a seed into the universal consciousness that allows you to get a more clear and concise reading.  If you are just wondering what will happen next week or will you win the lottery type of questions, your intention isn’t as strong and focused.  This will hamper the clarity that can be provided to you during your reading.  This can’t be emphasized enough.  If you’re really just interested in psychic advice as some type of ‘party favor’ type stunt or entertainment, while that can be fun, you’ll likely not get the same clarity (that’s why they are called a psychic clairvoyant) and depth out of your reading as you would with a laser focused intention.  OK, enough on that.

Next, I would recommend looking around a bit online at the various sites that exist.  You can do a search for things like “psychic phone readings” or “psychic mediums” and “email psychic readings” to get started.  Without a reference from a friend, this is what will help you find one that can be the best fit for your needs. Since you may be new to the world of phone psychics, a little due diligence prior to just jumping on a call will provide you with the best outcome.  Many of the famous psychics that you’d love to have do your reading started out giving free readings to friends and others and getting feedback as to their accuracy.  Don’t be afraid to experience a reading, there is nothing that will happen to you because your reading mentions the possibility of this or that.  Your life is already unfolding the way it was meant to unfold, a reading just helps give you some insight into that unfolding.

So, while we may be born with the ability to read, it still takes more practice, patience and dedication than anything else.  It wouldn’t be fair to say that some are just luckier than others.  Their ability to be give accurate psychic readings has more to do with their ability to pay fine attention and focus on subtle energies than others possess.  It’s like listening to a fifth grader play their first violin solo versus the virtuoso who is performing at Carnegie Hall.  One is at the beginning of their practice, the other has been fine tuning their skill for many years.

Now, in order to more highly develop your clairvoyance and ability to deliver better and better readings, you’ll be well served to begin a meditation practice.  If you are already meditating, then you have a step-up in connecting with the part of you that will grow to help you become one of the real psychics.  Meditating helps you to connect with what many call the universal mind, higher self, cosmic consciousness and many other names.  It is, quite simply, that part of us that connects with that part this is all of us.

Now it may be more clear why we don’t have to be face-to-face with a psychic to have or give a reading.  These readings can be in the form of email psychic readings or just as common, if not more, as psychic phone readings.  The essence is the same.  By connecting with the other person on the phone or over the internet, our universal minds or spirits are connecting and communicating in a dimension that is not as clearly visible to the untrained or practiced individual.  Phone psychics clearly have a trained skill that is essential to helping their clients to live with more clarity and comfort in their lives.

Help from a phone psychic is just a call away...

Step One
Do a search for “phone psychics”.  OK, you’ve probably done this or you wouldn’t be here right? (it’s almost like I’m psychic – just kidding, far from it, that’s why I rely on the experts).  This will likely turn up many sites, over 300,000 at last count.  So, what do you do next?  I don’t recommend going through all of them.  Start by either writing a few sites down and check with friends, or what I’d really recommend…

Step Two
Determine the specialty you are after.  For example, you’re looking for relationship advice or you have career path questions – use these topics to refine your search.  You’ll probably end up seeing several links that catch your eye.  When you find some that you feel comfortable with, or have particular specialties that speak to you, then…

Step Three
Read samples of their other readings or advice to clients.  You may be able to see psychic readings online or it may be possible to request a sample of their previous work.  Don’t be shy, you can treat this like any other professional relationship.  It is your life and advice after all, right?!  Once you’ve seen what else they have done and are happy with those results or it resonates with your personality…

Step Four
Contact the telephone psychics either online or by the number listed and ask if you will have access to an audio recording of your session.  Some psychics will also provide you with a written copy (this is much more common when getting email psychic readings – basically, because they already ARE written to you – by email).  Hopefully, your chosen psychic will be able to provide you an audio copy.  This will help you because you will be able to listen to it several times in order to get all the information from it.  It’s like that saying about learned material having to be heard like 7 times before it sinks in.  And finally…

Step Five
Find out what they charge and how they do it.  Many will take credit/debit cards and process your cards through reputable companies or processors.  Also, find out if they charge per minute or per hour, per session, etc.  The rates vary quite wildly and there are some creative psychics that have unique paying options.  I still haven’t found the ‘pay only on true prediction’ style yet.  We can only hope…
